St Kilda films also made Birth Of A Film Festival, a short documentary about a group of film buffs who decided to show some films over a weekend in Olinda in 1952.
The Olinda Film Festival was a huge success, and grew into the Melbourne Film Festival, which is now one of the most prestigious film festivals in the world.
Birth of a Film Festival was invited to screen at the St Kilda Film Festival.
